How it Happened

HomeQuilts is a unique craft that has grown from my love of quilting,
photography, and beautiful homes.

To make a HomeQuilt from a photo of a home was one of those
crazy thoughts that creative people have that wouldn't go away.

I wanted to make a wall quilt of a winter scene but didn't have the
artistic ability to draw anything.

Magazines and quilting books didn't show me what I wanted , so I decided
to take a picture of a home, enlarge it and see what I could do with it.

The first one turned out rather well . . .
enough to show it to a few friends to see what they thought.

The response was fantastic and
HomeQuilts was born!!

Each piece of art is handcrafted to scale.
Landscaping, trees, walkways, flower beds and other features
unique to the home are included as desired.

As each home is unique, so is each of my HomeQuilts.
